Connecting Greeks Highlight Reel

Connecting Greeks is a light-hearted streaming, video, and podcast show meant to unite and connect Greeks from all around the world. We love our Hellenic culture, and we use that as the basis to entertain, unite, enhance, and promote both the culture and its' people. Filmmaker Rachel Suissa
We welcome writer, director, and actress Rachel Suissa to the show! Rachel has created something truly unique with "Greek Mothers Never Die" — a supernatural comedy inspired by her real-life relationship with her Greek mother, blending heartfelt themes with laugh-out-loud cultural quirks. We talk to Rachel about how this very personal film was born, what it means for Greek American audiences, and how her family (and ghostly mothers) helped shape the story. Join us!

Instagrammer & Designer Yannis Dimoulis of 54thirty
We welcome Instagram superstar Yannis Dimoulis to the podcast. Yanni was born and raised in Chicago as a first generation Greek American. He studied Mechanical Engineering and went to grad school for Product Design / Design Research. While his 54thirty profile was started as a novelty t-shirt side hustle, he started making memes as a way to advertise the novelty shirts and eventually the comedy began to overtake the merchandise. He says, "I didn't really feel like the Greek comedy scene on the internet really reflected my experience as a Greek American and so I started to try to fill that void from early on. I love 54thirty as a tool for connecting to people (both personally, and helping others connect to one another). I also love to elevate talented Greeks who don't get the shine I feel they deserve."
